This front door is as wide as the cage, making it easy to access your bunny.
DIY Cages and Parts
Foothills Rabbitry set up their Songmics 36 wire grid panel cage like this. Notice the ramp grids are placed end-to-end on wood strips with hardware cloth on top. The hole between the levels is only 1 grid rather than 2. The bottom tray is made from 4′ x 8′ feet coroplast found at Home Depot.
Pros: Spacious, A good value, Many possible configurations. Open top for ease of contact with bunnies. Cons: No door Liners purchased separately.
If you don’t buy your coroplast from Home Depot, you can order these in many colors and sizes on Amazon.
These cutters make working with coroplast easier and more fun.
Expand your bunnies play area with this playpen. Use it by itself, or block off a room, steps on a deck, etc.
Eat
Amazon is great when your local feed & seed store is not close by. We recommend you start with the feed you get from us in your starter kit, then starting on day 4, mix your feed with ours 50/50 until ours runs out.
Rick in folate and vitamin E, black oil sunflower seeds are a great treat for rabbits of any age.
We prefer bowls over bottles because rabbits can drink from these more naturally. Rabbits need plenty of drinking water.
The round design makes filling it really easy.
Sleep
Uses: bunny bonding, nap spot, especially good for small children to hold bunnies without feeling their nails.
Also works with bunnies!
This unfolds to make a nice bed with a built-in pillow.
Play
A toy meant for destruction because it’s edible. Bunnies love these.
Chomp. Chomp. Chew. Chew.
Place treats in here and watch your bunny find them!
Toilet
Litter pans with grates help your bunny to stay cleaner, especially on their feet.
We prefer natural pelleted pine over any paper litter.
Health
General Immunity
A general immune system booster that can be given orally or added to their water.
GI Stasis Kit
Home GI Stasis Treatment Kit:
Have some blended pineapple juice on hand in your freezer in an ice cube tray or bagged up. Thaw it and use a dropper to give it to a rabbit orally, to help “jump start” their digestive system. Start with a 1 oz dropper full of infant gas drops first for pain. Check for bloating and give gentle abdominal massages. Also give space and encourage exercise since movement helps bowel movements. Give fresh Timothy hay and remove feed pellets until your rabbit is eating and pooping normally.
Skin Care
Rabbits rid themselves of external parasites when they groom themselves, but sometimes they need a little help. We use and recommend applying Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth to help them combat fur mites when they get out of hand.

Spa
Rabbits need their nails trimmed 4-6 times a year.
This brush works well and is well made. Ours was accidently left in garden soil for six months and it didn’t rust.
